About
Hello! I’m Val Haderlie, Abundance Coach and I want to welcome you to my blog. I’m excited to share life’s journey with you. My intent on this site is to share with you everything I know that can assist you to make your adventure as a business owner easier, happier and more abundant.
On this website and in the emails you receive from me through your subscriptions to my offers, you will find information and strategies designed to truly empower you as a successful entrepreneur. Being in business for yourself is a wonderful opportunity which offers more money and time freedom than job ever could. However, you are responsible for every facet of your enterprise. That can be daunting, but here you’ll find blog posts and pages that give you a myriad of resources offering the how-tos of everything from creating a millionaire mindset to writing a powerful post, from starting a media fast to implementing an autoresponder series, from realizing the genius of gratitude to learning the value of syndication.
I encourage you to explore the pages at the top of this site for resources in basic business principles, personal development, social media marketing strategies, tribe syndication and opportunities to partner with me.
I am an entrepreneurial consultant who started my first business at the age of 12. By the time I was sixteen, I was making a lot more money teaching piano lessons to eight students (four hours a week) than my friends were making at their jobs (ten hours a week or more). I learned early in my life that being my own boss offers a lot of advantages, including the option to decide when and where I work. Although I’ve worked for bosses over the years, I’ve grown several successful businesses including a brick-and-mortar auto parts store with my husband, a large dog boarding facility with my daughter, and two direct sales businesses.
I am an avid student. It seems I have always been interested in learning about everything. That hunger for knowledge along with an innate realization that I could do pretty much whatever I choose to do led me to be somewhat different than others my age. Early in my freshman year in high school, I determined that I would graduate at the top of my class. Four years later, in May 1971, I stood before my classmates, teachers, school administrators, and all the others who had assembled for our commencement and I spoke to them as their valedictorian. I had set a goal, challenged myself to do something I knew I had the capacity to so, stayed the course, and persisted until I had accomplished it. What was not obvious to most was that over those high school years, while my friends and peers were doing other things, I was studying. I didn’t get to the top of my class because I was a genius; I worked, studied, prepared, stayed up late, got up early, and even did homework on the weekends to get to my goals of being valedictorian of my graduating class and earning a scholarship to my chosen university.
Over the past 35 years, I have immersed myself in personal empowerment and self-development. Why did I begin to study this particular topic? Because I became a mother. I looked at myself, I looked at my new baby, and I looked at the huge responsibility of nurturing, rearing, teaching and encouraging this little human being to become all she could be and I felt humble and inadequate. I knew that my college education hadn’t prepared me for the task ahead of parenting (a task that eventually included rearing six children). I began reading all I could get my hands on with regards to the development of responsible, capable, self-confident, and successful children, adolescents, teens, and young adults.
Married for 35 years to Alan Haderlie, “the man of my dreams” and the guy my grandchildren call “PapaDaddy), I live in beautiful Afton (Star Valley), Wyoming high in the Rocky Mountains about 100 miles south of Yellowstone National Park. As I mentioned, I am the mother of six wonderful responsible adult children, mother-in-law of three of the nicest adults I know, and now I am blessed to be Nana Val to nine beautiful grandchildren. These precious people are the most important individuals in my life and everything I do ultimately has to do with providing for them.
A former high school English teacher, I made a decision a few years ago to stop giving my best time to someone else’s children. I resigned my J.O.B. and I began a direct sales business which focuses on my passion of personal development. As I regained my time freedom, I replaced my teacher income and soon, I was generating in six weeks what I formerly made annually. Now, I not only coach on abundant living, but I also assist people in becoming successful entrepreneurs and establishing their own home-based businesses.
A strong advocate for young adults with disabilities, one of my callings in life is to counsel with parents of children with Down syndrome. (For more information, be sure to visit www.upsyndrome.net )
